How It Started

Before most people his age had a driver's license, Austin Moore was already building an audience. At 13, he launched into internet radio — hosting a syndicated show called The Prime Krew that ran on over 20 internet and low-power stations across the country. He followed that with another syndicated program, The Weekend Show with Austin Prime, further establishing his voice and format instincts before ever stepping into a professional studio.

At 16, he made the jump to terrestrial radio, joining Clear Channel (now iHeartMedia) in Richmond, Virginia — one of the most competitive mid-Atlantic markets in the country. He worked his way through 102.1 The X (WRXL) and Q94 (WRVQ) before landing a role as Morning Show Producer for The Morning Mix with Jeff Wicker on Mix 98.1 (WTVR).

The Career

2005 — Age 13

Launched The Prime Krew, a syndicated internet radio show airing on 20+ internet and low-power stations. Also hosted The Weekend Show with Austin Prime.

2008 — Age 16

Joined Clear Channel / iHeartMedia in Richmond, VA. Worked at 102.1 The X and Q94, then became Morning Show Producer for The Morning Mix with Jeff Wicker on Mix 98.1.

2010s

Moved to nights on Bob 93.3 (Eastern NC) and afternoons on 92.3 and 101.1 The River. Added nights on Hot 98.3 (Savannah, GA) and filled in at various other markets across the Southeast.

Mid 2010s

Moved to middays at Bob 93.3 and was promoted to Assistant Program Director (APD) — overseeing format, music, and on-air talent alongside his own show.

2023

Made a deliberate career pivot out of full-time radio to explore content creation and new opportunities.

2024

Rejoined Bob 93.3 to handle station imaging and branding.

2025 — Present

Reclaimed his midday slot on Bob 93.3 and added Energy 92.1 (Myrtle Beach, SC). Now delivering remote voice tracking nationwide from his home broadcast studio in Richmond.

Austin became one of the top-performing live streamers on Pococha, a major live streaming platform. His audience grew rapidly enough that he was recognized as a top performer on the app — and appeared on billboards as part of Pococha's featured creator campaigns. It was another chapter in a career built entirely around connecting with audiences in real time, no matter the platform.
