Overview
OnAirAustin.com ("this site," "we," "us") is run by Austin Moore, a radio personality, voiceover talent and remote voice tracker based in the Richmond, Virginia area. This policy explains what information this site collects, how it's used and the choices you have. We don't sell personal information.
Information collected automatically
When you visit, this site and its analytics and advertising partners collect information about your device and visit, such as:
- Browser, device type and operating system
- IP address and general location (city or region level)
- Pages you view, how long you stay and the site that referred you
- Interactions such as clicks, scrolling and whether you play an audio demo (for example, the voiceover demo or the voice tracking aircheck)
This is collected with cookies and similar technologies and is used in aggregate to understand what content people find useful and to improve the site.
Information you give us
Contact, voiceover and voice tracking forms
When you send a form on this site we collect what you enter, which can include your name, email address, station or company, format, market, automation system, project details and your message. We also record the date, the page you sent it from and your IP address, which we use for spam prevention and rate limiting.
Forms are processed on this site's own server. Your submission is stored securely in the site's database and emailed to Austin. It is used only to reply to you and is never sold, rented or added to a mailing list. To block spam, forms include a short math check, a hidden spam trap and limits on how many messages can be sent from one connection.
Comments
If you leave a comment on a blog post, we store the name and comment you submit, along with technical details such as your IP address for spam and abuse prevention. Comments may be reviewed before they appear. Your name and comment are shown publicly once approved.
Reactions
Blog posts have optional thumbs-up and thumbs-down buttons. If you react, we store the post and a hashed identifier derived from your connection so you can't vote twice. It doesn't identify you personally.
Cookies
- Essential: used to make the site and its forms work, and for the admin area. These can't be turned off.
- Analytics (Google Analytics 4): measures traffic, popular pages and interactions such as audio plays. Google may associate data with signed-in Google accounts through Google Signals for cross-device reporting. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
- Behavior analytics (Microsoft Clarity): anonymized heatmaps and session replays of clicks and scrolling. Clarity doesn't capture what you type into forms.
- Advertising (Google AdSense): Google and its partners use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can turn off personalized ads in Google Ads Settings or at aboutads.info.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as expected if you do.
Third-party services
These services help run the site. Each has its own privacy practices:
- Google: Analytics, Tag Manager, AdSense and Fonts (web fonts load from Google's servers)
- Microsoft Clarity: behavior analytics
- Cloudflare (cdnjs): delivers the site's icon font
- Apple: album artwork in the Top 5 section loads from Apple's servers
- YouTube, radio station players and social networks (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, Threads, Bluesky, LinkedIn): only when you click a link to them. Those sites' own policies apply once you're there.
- TikTok Shop: affiliate product links on the Deals page
How information is used

- To show advertising through Google AdSense
- To keep the site secure and block spam and abuse
We don't sell personal information, don't send marketing email from form submissions and don't build advertising profiles on our own systems.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut and other states with privacy laws, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it and to opt out of targeted advertising. We don't sell personal information. We won't treat you differently for using these rights. To make a request, use the contact form.
Data retention
- Form submissions: kept in the site's database and Austin's email until they're no longer needed to respond or for business records, then deleted.
- Comments: kept while they're published, or until you ask us to remove them.
- Spam-check records: deleted automatically within a day.
- Analytics: kept according to Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity retention settings.
Children's privacy
This site isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Affiliate disclosure
Some links, especially on the Deals page, are affiliate links, including TikTok Shop. If you buy through one, Austin may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate and sponsored content is labeled. This disclosure follows the FTC's Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255). The site also shows Google AdSense ads.
Security
All connections use HTTPS. Form submissions are stored outside public view, and the admin area is protected by password authentication, IP restrictions and login rate limiting. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
