Happy Friday! If this week felt long, here's the good news: there's a fresh stack of new music, and there's something in it for everybody in the car.
This week we've got a sequel six years in the making, a 2000s favorite giving her biggest songs a makeover with some famous friends, a debut album fans have waited years for, and a British hitmaker back with a new record.
Let's get into it.
New This Friday
Jack Harlow – Sweet Action II
Jack Harlow is heading back to where his breakout started. Sweet Action II is a seven-track EP on Atlantic and a sequel to his 2020 Sweet Action EP, the one that gave us “Whats Poppin.”
Babyface is the only guest, on “Too Soon.” Expect a more grown-up take on romance, with songs about attraction, jealousy and commitment. Dork has more on the EP.
Dove Cameron – FINAL GIRL
After years of waiting, Dove Cameron's debut studio album is finally here through Disruptor and Columbia, with “When in Rome” and “Do the Math” leading the way.
And her day doesn't stop there. She also starts her run opening for Sombr on his You Are the Reason Tour today.
Lil Baby – FRESH
Lil Baby's fifth studio album has 17 tracks, and Future, Young Thug and Rylo Rodriguez all show up on “All My Partnas.” It also has the Pharrell-produced “Dead Fresh,” which got as high as No. 18 on the Hot 100.
He's celebrating with a halftime show at the Atlanta Hawks' game against the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday.
Michelle Branch – Everywhere and Back Again
Millennials, this one's for you. Michelle Branch is celebrating 25 years with an eight-song EP of reimagined favorites like “Everywhere,” “All You Wanted,” “Goodbye to You” and “Breathe,” and each one has a guest artist.
New Radicals join her on “The Game of Love,” which brings her back together with Gregg Alexander, who wrote and produced the original. Maren Morris is on the new version of “Goodbye to You.”
James Blunt – Airplane Mode
James Blunt's eighth studio album is out on Atlantic. He recorded most of it at Pig Music Studios with his longtime live band.
It includes the sunny “Tastes Like Summer” and “Weight Of It All,” a song about the pressures of modern life. It's his first new studio album since 2023's Who We Used To Be.
La Roux – Old Flames
Elly Jackson is back with her fourth La Roux album and her first in six years. She wrote, produced and arranged every bit of it herself. If “Bulletproof” still lives rent-free in your head, give this one a spin.
GloRilla & Sexyy Red – “Jiggly Bow Bow”
Two of hip-hop's most fun personalities are teaming up, and the title alone tells you this one isn't taking itself too seriously.
Chart Check
On the Billboard Hot 100 dated Nov. 7, 2026, Ella Langley's “Choosin' Texas” stays at No. 1 for a 26th week. That stretches its record for the longest run at No. 1 in the chart's history. Billboard has the full breakdown.
Behind her, Tate McRae's “Housewife” holds at No. 2, Stella Lefty's “Boston” moves up to No. 3 and Morgan Wallen's “Been By Now” is back at No. 4. Tame Impala and JENNIE's “Dracula” got a Halloween boost and hit a new high at No. 5.
ADÉLA's “Nicole Kidman” climbs back to No. 6, and Ariana Grande's “Hate That I Made You Love Me” is back in the top 10.
On the Billboard 200 for the same week, My Chemical Romance's The Black Parade jumps from No. 139 to No. 1 after its 20th anniversary reissue. It's the band's first No. 1 album, and no album has ever taken longer to reach the top. Here's the story.
And on the Billboard Global 200, “Housewife” is No. 1.
Austin's Take
Twenty-six weeks. That's half a year at No. 1, and whatever station you listen to, you have to respect it. Still, with “Housewife” at No. 2 here and No. 1 around the world, Tate is knocking pretty loudly.
My pick this week is Michelle Branch. I love it when early-2000s songs come back with new voices on them, and “Everywhere” still holds up. Jack Harlow going back to the Sweet Action vibe is a close second.
So what are you playing first this weekend: Jack, Dove, Michelle or something else? Tell me in the comments!
